Phil Carley

Phil was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, and spent many happy weekends visiting his godparents in Detroit, often walking to Tiger ballgames.

Phil has been married to his sweetheart and fellow lifeguard, Ruth, for 54 years. Although he jokes that he's too cheap to take her out to dinner for their September wedding anniversary, he makes up for it by taking her on a European or other international cruise each fall to celebrate. As a result, he’s managed to get them lost in most major cities around the world.

They are a proud Hollywood family, blessed with two adult children and one fabulous granddaughter.

Phil holds both a B.A. and an M.B.A. and worked for 35 years with the Canadian federal government in Toronto and Ottawa, where he and Ruth have lived since 1984. Ruth, a registered nurse, worked as a visiting nurse in Ottawa.

Since January 2011, they have been fortunate to own a home in Timber Pines.
